Burden Of The Bearer

This painting is about regulation.Eyes are showing how we interact with the world. They let us see our desires playout, lets us see the future we want. It also notices temptations, emotions and distractions. In nature and as shown, eyes are animalistic. What each of us carries along side That is an innerself that holds that instinct in place and regulates it. The blue figure represents that part. It isn’t punishment or supression, It’s responsibility. It isn’t about morality. It’s about creating and managing that innerself is necessary. It says awareness creates responsibility, responsibility creates weight. The one who sees is the one who has to carry. In that way, the burden lies in the eyes of beholder.
