It Happened
A single wound can redraw an entire horizon.
“A quiet reflection on unseen hurt, where an unexpected rupture pierces inner hopes while only a tear escapes the surface.”
Things are allowed to go wrong. Not why they went wrong, not how, just the fact that they did. This painting sits with that moment. The eye asks you to choose a role. To observe, or to be observed. The arrow is the event. It’s sudden and cutting through what once felt like possibility. The city inside the eye holds the hopes that existed before still looking alive as a reflection. At the center, the core is pierced and begins to bleed, the hurt collecting quietly beneath it. None of this is visible from the outside. What escapes is only a tear. The rest stays internal, understood only by the one carrying it. This isn’t acceptance or resolution. It’s processing. It’s staying with the pain long enough to acknowledge that it happened.
